Becoming a Certified Healthcare Instructor for Postsecondary  Education

NHCWA’s instructor credentials are only available to instructors affiliated with NHCWA accredited schools. The affiliated school must complete the required application in the education portal for the applicant. 

 

 Section A

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D*
  • Completion of an Approved Program in the field*
  • A minimum of 3 year full-time employment in the field*
  • Documentation of Employment*
  • Successful Completion of Certification Exam
  • Minimum Of 3 Months of Precepting or Teaching*
  • Bachelor Degree In Health Sciences
  • Copy of education documents*
  • Education in the field of certification
  • Experience should be within past 5 years*
  • Resume: current*
  • 2 Recommendation letters for approval*
  • Signed scope of practice*
  • Current work history*

Section B.

Degree or Certificate In Education

  • Completion of an Approved Program in the field
  • A minimum of 1 year full-time employment in the field
  • Documentation of Employment
  • Successful Completion of Certification Exam
  • Minimum Of 6 Months of Precepting or Teaching
  • Bachelor Degree In Health Sciences
  • Degree or Certificate In Education
