Becoming a Certified Healthcare Instructor for Postsecondary  Education

Being a health Care instructor is a fulfilling and rewarding experience. If you’d like to learn more about becoming a certified healthcare instructor, or if you’re ready to get started, contact the NHCWA to begin the process. The following requirements must be met before we can schedule you for the healthcare instructor certification exam. Please include the information below and fax to f: 877 560 9486. Once this information have been evaluated you will be contacted by an NHCWA representative to schedule your proctored exam. (No Exam Required) in most cases depending on evaluation of the submitted documents.

Section A

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D*
  • Completion of an Approved Program in the field*
  • A minimum of 1 year full-time employment in the field*
  • Documentation of Employment*
  • Successful Completion of Certification Exam
  • Minimum Of 6 Months of Precepting or Teaching*
  • Bachelor Degree In Health Sciences
  • Copy of education documents*
  • Education in the field of certification
  • Experience should be within past 5 years*
  • Resume: current*
  • 2 Recommendation letters for approval*
  • Signed scope of practice*
  • Current work history*

Section B.

Degree or Certificate In Education

  • Completion of an Approved Program in the field
