Candidates who meet the requirements listed below will not be required to sit for the full 100-question exam to become certified.
Here’s how the healthcare Workers Certification Bridge program works
Applicants applying for certification must fill out an online or paper application and return it with a work verification form, or a signed letter of verification from their supervisor verifying the length of their employment, and a description of the applicant’s job duties. Please enclose the $698.00 application fee with the application when you turn it in. This process can also be done online.
Option 1
You may qualify from your work experience alone. Your employer must fill out the NHCWA work verification form that can will be provided to you upon receipt of your registration form and application fee. A signed letter of verification from your supervisor verifying the length of your employment, and a description of the applicant’s job duties may also be submitted. This letter must be on company letterhead, and signed by your supervisor.
Experience may be substituted in lieu of a NHCWA certification exam, and will be evaluated by the NHCWA on an individual basis as criteria for meeting the exam eligibility requirements.
Option 2
If your experience alone does not qualify you for a waiver on the written exam you will be asked to complete an online exam, which consists on 100- multiple choice questions that can be completed at your convenience. You will receive an email with a link that will give you access to the online timed exam. You will have 2 hours to complete the online exam. If a candidate receives less than 70 percent on an exam, he or she will be asked to retake the exam 1 time at no additional cost.
Candidates that don’t have computer access will have the option to have the exam emailed to them. The exam must be completed, and mailed back to NHCWA in 10-day from receipt of the email.

Upon receipt of your application, and all required documentation. Your application will be processed, and completed with in 7-business days. Your certification will then be mailed to you in 10- business days. If you are required to take the online exam NHCWA will email you the 100 question multiple-choice exam. You must score 70% or higher on the exam. Your NHCWA certification will then be mailed to you in 10 business days.
