What Does it Mean to be a Nationally Certified Urgent Care Technician?

By definition, a Nationally Certified Urgent Care Technician (NCUCT) Certified Urgent Care Technician (CUCT) Nationally Registered Urgent Care Technician  (CUCT) is any Urgent Care Technician that has received and has met the certification requirements set by the National Healthcare Workers Association®(NHCWA®).

 

What are the duties of a NHCWA Nationally Certified Urgent Care Technician?

Nationally Certified Urgent Care Technician is also known as medical urgent Care tech or an Urgent Care Specialist. They provide direct patient care under direction of a provider, including but not limited to vitals, allergy/ medical reconciliation, screenings, patient history, health maintenance, advance directives and virtual health.

Nationally Certified Urgent Care Technician’s™  also provide in direct patient care related duties including but not limited to scheduling, patient check in/out, referrals, chart prep and prior authorizations. Urgent Care Technician’s™  also conduct point of care testing including quality control and documentation, They can also perform administrative duties and covers front desk based on business needs
